After that you need to insert the butane lighter into the gas tube. Each time you start your gas fireplace you ll notice some condensation on the glass.

This in turn makes the gas valve shut off. To start the flame you need to press the trigger that is on the lighter. However after a minute or so the whole thing shuts down. Adjust the flame to counter low rumbling noises.
